My daughter said being a three time science fair winner helped her tremendously in college where she majored in Communication with a minor in Anthropology. That's in part why teaching is such a great way to learn--in the act of really trying to explain something to someone else, you often find out what you don't really understand yourself. I find it interesting that as they talk about theri ideas they actually change their mind when they hear what they are thinking.
