Getting high marks is just not enough in today's competitive world.having the skills to present one's knowledge is equally or rather more important these days.so, the blog is definitely going to be helpful.
All the best for all the viewers of the blog.

Thanks, Felice, for that very nice example of how learning about the process of scientific thinking and communication provides tools for life, regardless of future direction! JP

Felice Gerwitz • This is very interesting. My daughter said being a three time science fair winner helped her tremendously in college where she majored in Communication with a minor in Anthropology. She explained that the scientific method was instrumental in helping her to look at a project logically and in steps.

Hi Diana--Yes, and this isn't just true for young children, it works at all levels of education. That's in part why teaching is such a great way to learn--in the act of really trying to explain something to someone else, you often find out what you don't really understand yourself.

The key is to make that clear to the students, that they don't need to feel embarrassed if in the act of trying to explain something, they get something wrong. It's a good step in the process of learning. Thanks for the post!

Diana Gonzalez • Science Talk is so important. For young children the ability to form logical arguments and suppose in reasonable ways developes with talk. I find it interesting that as they talk about theri ideas they actually change their mind when they hear what they are thinking. Asking challenging questions often causes them to ponder, rethink, and restate more acurate suppositions.

Eitan D. Schwarz MD FAACAP DLFAPA • IMHO you are right. As a doctor and inventor, I cannot over emphasize how my science training has enabled me to think logically and convey my ideas clearly and stepwise.
