I just spent 5 days in Scotland, at the 6th Annual World Fisheries Conference, and got to see Prince Charles in person, giving one of the opening addresses. Pretty neat. My full-day writing workshop went very well, too. Now I’m in Norway to do research at one of the major government-run fisheries laboratories there. So for the rest of May I’ll be tweeting about my research progress from time to time, whenever something interesting happens here.
Here’s today’s tweet: I spent a few hours today learning to dissect out the stomachs of little anesthetized cod larvae, about 2 mm long. It takes a steady hand, but it’s pretty easy once you get the hang of it. Now to identify and count what I found inside…
